Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
